How do we keep our stories and inherent wisdom alive? - March MD - YWCA Thu, Mar 28, 2024, 12:00 PM

How do we keep our stories and inherent wisdom alive?

This year has seen the enactment of new legislation and actions targeting DEI, books, and removing anti-racism/anti-discriminatory laws in the US. While some are trying to erase or change history and people’s rights, others are working to keep their stories and wellbeing thriving. Join us to discuss: What are some policies that are impacting your community and families? Who benefits from erasing history and oppressing others? How do we keep our stories and inherent wisdom alive?

Monthly Dialogues on Issues of Racism and Discrimination are a place for safe conversation, allowing participants to respectfully share their thoughts, experiences, and information. Monthly dialogues are not a place to spread personal agendas, hatred, negativity, etc. Rather they are a forum for people from all walks of life to come together as a community to create deeper, more holistic understanding of the topic being discusses.

Zoom will be used to facilitate the workshop, it is requested that participants who have access, will utilize their cameras to create a deeper sense of connection. Looking forward to seeing you there!
