What is a young leader?
A YWCA Young Leader is 21-40 years of age, passionate about our mission, and seeks to be an elite member in a group of up-and-comers in Austin. Members should be available for 1 (2-4 hour) meeting and 1 (2-4 hour) public event monthly. Memberships last for one calendar year.
The Young Leaders Society is a group of professionals passionate about YWCA Greater Austin's mission to eliminate racism and empowering women. We work to provide mental health access to ALL Central Texans.
YLS individuals are dedicated to:
- spreading awareness for our programs by volunteering their time at outreach events and sharing information on social media
- becoming active advocates for equity and social justice issues by staying informed about disparities that affect their Central Texas neighbors
- participating in group fundraising initiatives by showing up to events and by leveraging their strengths and connections
YLS members are #socializingwithintention.
